Dear WSEAS Members and friends

MESSAGE FROM NIKOS E. MASTORAKIS: www.wseas.org/mastorakis
**********************************************************************
Dear WSEAS Members and friends

Check directly in the ISI Site, (ISI server) the publications of the WSEAS
http://www.thomsonreuters.com/content/PDF/scientific/conference_titles_2004-2008.xls
or www.wseas.org

Why am I sending this?

I received today an annoying email from some "Professor" that seems to organize
some conferences that in his opinion are in a competition with WSEAS.

He says that he does not believe that our Conferences, Books and Proceedings are in ISI.

I show him the letters from ISI on our web page, but he replied with very unpolite phrases to me.

Maybe because his conferences are bogus (they are outside the WSEAS) and they have published fake papers from SCIgen as Wikipedia says for his conferences.

We are not interested in any conferences outside the WSEAS System.
Our conferences are organized by top ranking Universities.

There are many societies for example IEEE, IMACS, IEE, IAENG, IASTED, GESTS, IPSI
etc...
All of them use to send me emails from time to time.
I do not consider that they spam me.

WSEAS has never accept any bogus paper and has never published any fake article.
But this colleague, annoyed me very much, because he has opinion for our conference
at the same time that he runs bogus conferences.

We must be very careful for our society (WSEAS) and only our Society.

Anyway, I do not want to spare time with this "colleague".

We are praud that we have all of our books and proceedings
in ISI, and you can detect them directly in the
ISI Server from this link:
http://www.thomsonreuters.com/content/PDF/scientific/conference_titles_2004-2008.xls

or
from
http://thomsonreuters.com/products_services/scientific/Conf_Proceedings_Citation_Index

We have also posted these links
on the central page:
http://www.wseas.org/

Unfortunately for him , this "professor" has some conferences , but they do not belong to any index.

We have repeated many times that I do not accept critics in our WSEAS conferences, since all of
them participate in ISI, ACM, INSPEC etc...
www.wseas.us/indexes

As you can see from the site of ISI the criteria for including Books and Proceedings in ISI are
very strict and most of the conferences of older societies are not in the ISI Index while all the
WSEAS books and proceedings are inside ISI / SCI (Web of Science). Check it on the site of ISI
please, now.
or via the link from the site of the WSEAS

All the WSEAS Books, Proceedings and JOURNALS are also indexed in ACM. Click here:
http://portal.acm.org , select "The Guide" and then type WSEAS. See the complete indexing of WSEAS
Books, Proceedings, Journals in ACM, ASM, ELSEVIER other 30 indexes at: http://www.wseas.us/indexes
NEW Letters from British Library, American Chemical Society, SWETS, see more:
http://www.wseas.us/indexes

As my colleagues told you in the previous email, we have just received 4 new letters from SCOPUS
about Notification of Coverage of the 4 new (most recent ) WSEAS Journals
So, yes, all the WSEAS Journals are in SCOPUS now

So, YES, we confirm that the new journals:

WSEAS Transactions on Biology and Biomedicine will be covered by Embase & Scopus
WSEAS Transactions on Heat and Mass Transfer will be covered by Scopus
WSEAS Transactions on Fluid Mechanics will be covered by Scopus
WSEAS Transactions on Business and Economics will be covered by Scopus

SCOPUS/Elsevier certified the WSEAS of high quality

They say in their 4 letters:
"In recognition of the high quality and relevance to the scientific community of the journal
listed,
we are pleased to inform you that your publication has been selected for coverage in the
Elsevier Bibliographic Databases indicated above as of 2009."

Really, the WSEAS journals are of very high quality
For this reason , we allow the free access to the full PDF to anybody

Please, check yourseld how original, breakthrough, with high impact and highly cited are:
http://www.worldses.org/journals/index.html

Elsevier Bibliographic Databases produces a range of leading abstract & indexing databases, which
scans the world?s STM serials literature for coverage across all science and social sciences
disciplines. Databases include Scopus, EMBASE, EMCare, Compendex, GEOBASE, Elsevier BIOBASE,
FLUIDEX, World Textiles and several specialized niche databases and other derivative products such
as Mosby Yearbooks.

Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of research literature and quality web sources,
was created for researchers to help them find the quality information they need from around the
globe. Since its introduction in 2004, Scopus has developed a solid customer base of over 1000
institutional customers worldwide enabling millions of users to make their literature research
process more effective and productive.

So, i hope to understand this email and I would like to ask
you to check directly in the ISI Site, (ISI server) the publications of the WSEAS
http://www.thomsonreuters.com/content/PDF/scientific/conference_titles_2004-2008.xls
or www.wseas.org

THE WSEAS In memoriam Prof. dr. ir. em. Oscar Steenhaut (1933 – 2007)

THE WSEAS In memoriam Prof. dr. ir. em. Oscar Steenhaut (1933 – 2007)

Burgerlijk Elektrotechnisch Ingenieur behaalde. Hij was een
schitterend student.
campus in Etterbeek.
postgraduaats- of doctoraatsopleiding bekronen.

THE WSEAS In memoriam Prof. dr. ir. em. Oscar Steenhaut (1933 – 2007)

Burgerlijk Elektrotechnisch Ingenieur behaalde. Hij was een
schitterend student.
campus in Etterbeek.
